help i found this on an old forum
posted on feb 1st 09: September 2006. It had recently got a computer, and I started off with MSN and a usually used the internet to such glitches and cheats for a certain game I had. Pretty stupid if I look back at it. I got bored very quickly, the only thing I did online was talk to my mates and play games on sites such as miniclip. In October, I was introduced to ‘Club Penguin’, which was basically a kiddie game with all those happy graphics and stuff. I was like addicted. I wanted to get all those clothes and become elite. The game gradually got repetitive and the only times I would go on was during events such as Halloween. Next month in November, I searched on google for some NES games. The past was fun so I decided to find some games such as Super Mario bros 3 and stuff. I found online emulators and it had a good selection of games. This kept me entertained for awhile. Soon, I got bored of miniclip and these emulators. But then I found the site, which started my experience on forums.
It was a site called Retro Uprising with all these emulators for different consoles, such as NES, game boy colour and the Genesis. As soon as went on this site. I instantly went on Link’s Awakening DX for the game boy colour. It was a good game and I finished it before February 2007. Then I got involved in the sites high score systems. I was known as the ‘gaming god’ since I was like the best on the site. I was pretty active too on the forums and this increased my reputation more on that site. I was also on the best team and I reached 700 posts - top poster xD.
In March, some guy called Fedor introduced me to this game called Stick Online. I checked out the site and it looked interesting. This started me on the gaming world known as MMOs (online games). It was a basic 2D stroller with stickmen and all the stuff that should be in these virtual games, such as weapons and hats. I got addicted, as my goal was to reach the max level 99. The addiction lasted for a long time. It resulted in some bad grades in June and I still went on Stick Online and Retro Uprising. In July, the Stick Online community were playing a game called Lunia. This was my second MMO and it was an addicting 3D one. I was one of the respected members since I was like one of the highest levellers. This took up my holiday, since I went on everyday for like 2-5hours. In August, a new update comes out for stick and this made me play Stick again, since I kind of quit it when I played on Lunia. The addiction came back and my aim was the same. Reach level 99.
It is now August 07, with me playing on Stick Online reaching max level while the addiction for Lunia slipped since less people went on it. I was very active on the new Stick Online forums and this made me slip away from Retro Uprising. I then typed in google one day Super Smash Bros Melee. This resulted in the official brawl site. I read the news and I was really interested in it. I went on google again and typed up any info from brawl. Then I found SSBB Freeboards. I stayed around for awhile and I kind of liked the site. The community was friendly and yeah, I got to know Chonic SSJX and Shy Guy Guy This lead to more forums and more posting. Then I got a new connection, and started using fire fox in December. I also quit RU and SSBB FB officially, since my interest… died.
It was now October 07. I started to type in some random stuff on you tube. I came across this Kirby anime, and it looked interesting. I watched one episode and I wanted to watch another. I typed it in google and found the officials subs and the site. I watched all the episodes and they were entertaining. Now, in November 07, I downloaded the emulator Project 64. I played Kirby 64 and it was fun. I also played the legendary games - Ocarina of Time, Banjo Kazoo , Smash Bros and F-Zero X and more. At this time too, I reached max level on Stick Online too and I lost interest. It later then, was shut down in 2008 January for maintenance and for a new version. :C
In February I was introduced to the online game RainRo. It was a private Ragnarok server and I got along with everyone. Pretty much everyone liked me and I went on like for a long time. The addiction lasted and till July where I kind of quit the site really. During those 4months, it was all RainRo and Stick online. Nothing else. It kept me occupied but it surely did waste my life. During the holidays, the new lunia update came. I was addicted. Again. I went on for long hours and became one of those elites again. But the same thing happened, and I quit it because it got too repetitive. Now, in June I got brawl. YEY. I went on for a long time and I even went back on the Freeboards to find some brawls. I met SSJX. I use to brawl him whenever I can. Like all the time XD. He was own age… I wanted to be like him D:. He was too good. I also brawled Chonic. We had our fun brawls where we messed around and it was funny.
Now in August I was browsing through more sites and I found the Fatal Five. I saw their ownage combo video, and the words which came straight to my head were “Must.. Join… Now”. I tried to join it but failed, until of course 2weeks ago (Mid-Jan)
Later, in September the cross-forum tourney came. This is when I went on TAG and SSF. I met Cloud, Rinis and Silver dude on SSF and I really wasn’t interested at all at TAG. We had our little tourney, and in the end Blade won. I was very angry to be honest, so I didn’t go on TAG at all. Blade appeared at SSF and SSBB FB at times, but eh I tried to ignore him and held a grudge. October 08, I downloaded more emulators and in the end I played all Kirby games except the ones for the DS - ownage. Now, it was late October. I officially registered on TAG and got hooked on the brawl section. The members were nice the chat was funny and SSJX was there too! O:. So I checked on it everyday and stuff.
In November 2008 - I became great friends with Blade. He was cool and stuff, so we added each others msn and had our great chats. Then I was introduced to more and more members on TAG. I became active and I turned into a brawl mod. This directed me to stay for a long time on TAG. My posts gradually increased and it was a nice place to be at. Then, I get introduced to Travian by one of my MSN friends. It was a browser game and it was fun. Not as addicting, as it was a time one and you had to wait a lot. The new year came and I was even better in brawl. I passed the F5 tests and joined competitive ladders which increased my skill more. Now, I go on SSF, TAG , F5, Stick Hangout and Travian.
