Vinland Saga is one of the best mangas of all time. And although it isn't about the actual story; "Vinland Saga" it is still awesome. This is probably the most historically accurate piece of pop culture that I've ever seen (Except when it says Berserkers used mushrooms.) Everything not having to do with the story line is accurately portrayed, clothing, architecture, weapons, geography, ships, and even the political scene at the time, all of it is amazingly spot on for a dramatization. The manga even uses the names of real historical figures of the time. Such as Cnut the Great, Thorkell the Tall, Leif Erikson, and many more. Of course they made up the story surrounding the true events, and they do it very well. But historical accurateness aside, it is a great story with masterful action scenes.
