Spring Ladder Playoffs - First Round Information
As you all know, the Spring Ladder ended last week, and now everyone is anticipating the start of the Spring Ladder Playoffs.  The brackets are made, and the first round matchups are decided. All that’s left is for us to sit back and watch some great matches. Without further ado, I present you your Spring Ladder Playoffs information.

Since Neal is an amazing programmer, he has set us up with brackets that can be updated as we go, and can be viewed online. This also saves me the trouble of going through and typing out all the matchups, which is nice. You can view all the matches for both events here. The final standings for the regular season of both singles and doubles are also now available.

Now for some specifics:

The Spring Doubles Ladder Playoffs will begin this Thursday, August 6, at about 10 PM EDT (that’s 7 PM for those of you on the West Coast!) in Tournament Chat 3. If your team has a match, and you cannot make it at this time, it is your responsibility to reschedule ahead of time with your opponents! If you simply don’t show up, you will be disqualified! All make-up and rescheduled matches must be completed by midnight on Monday, August 10. You must notify me in advance, via PM from both teams, with the rescheduled time, if your match is being made-up. Also PM me as soon as you complete your match, so we can keep everything running smoothly.

AlphaZealot
, who will be in charge of the Singles Ladder Playoffs, has asked me to communicate the following. The first round of singles will begin on August 10th, at 10PM EDT (7PM on the West Coast). He will follow up this article with more specific information as the date gets closer.
EDIT (Aug 6, 2009): Information regarding the Singles Ladder Playoffs will be found in Slot 3 and will be updated constantly. Please view this information HERE.

Thank you all for participating in the ladders, and we are all looking forward to some great matches in the playoffs. Good luck to everyone!

I cant show up to the dates, can I make my matches to other times? (should be 12 am at your place and 12?pm for me)

I'd like to know since I'm going to be gone on the 15th what the expected date might be for round 2, and, if round 1 participants can do their match early (so that round 2 may be done early)

I will be starting classes on the 24th (23rd if you count orientation stuff) and I might need some leeway time to be able to finish my matches, considering a week of BGR at Purdue is like orientation with day-events that I don't want to miss (15th to the 22nd). Basically if at all possible I'd like to get my bracket started early (at least round 2 done) so that I don't hold anyone up. I know Round 1 starts the 10th, but say if Ook and Omega are on (in my bracket) at the same time and they decide to do their match before then (if legal), would I be allowed to do my match with the winner (my round 2)?

I really don't want to miss any of these round opportunities and I don't know how my schedule will play out nor do I know how wireless internet will be at my new residence hall. So if any of these questions can be answered with some advice, please PM or repond via the thread.

12 AM in PST (GMT -8 ) would be 9 hours behind your time, so it would 9 AM for you. You're six hours ahead of the East Coast players (GMT -5).
