As you are probably aware of, our top ladder players have been duking it out these last four weeks. And now both playoffs events have been concluded. On schedule too, for once. Which is surely a result of the professional, seasoned veteran Playoffs host who fought bravely to ensure that the deadline was kept. Oh, and his assistant Enrish probably helped out as well.
There have been a few surprises this round of playoffs.
Dabuz winning the singles playoffs is probably not one of them. And seeing
HolyNightmare and
Ally ascend to take first place in the doubles playoffs probably doesn't surprise too many people either. Congratulations, guys! Lets have a look at the two events, and the prizes awarded for the top placers.

Note that this is sadly not an accurate chart of who beat who, since unfortunately some players had to be given losses for not showing up and such. I think its safe to say that the Playoffs are tests both in Brawl skill as well as your ability to show up on time.
It's probably safe to say that the biggest upset in the Singles Playoffs is how Ally "only" got 5th place, losing first vs. Dabuz and then unexpectedly being knocked out of the tournament by Addy, who also knocked out Atomsk in Losers' Finals.
It should also be mentioned that San pulled off a fairly impressive 13th place using Ike.
Prize winners for the AiB Winter Singles Playoffs 2010:
1. Dabuz - $200
2. Addy - $100
3. Atomsk - $50
4. SS13 - $ 20
Unfortunately no matches were recorded from the Singles Playoffs this time.

Ally and HolyNightmare made short work out of everyone who got in their way. SS13 and Raffi-X were sent to the losers side of the bracket in semi-finals by Waft-Oli and Debom, but managed to avenge their loss vs. them in Losers' Finals, thus advancing to Grand Finals to experience the onslaught of HolyNightmare and Ally.
The team that held the first place on the doubles ladder throughout the ladder season, Tearbear and Choconaner, ended up in a disappointing 9th place.
Oh and lets not forget.. The highest placing DK main this round of Playoffs was Dr.Grandpa. His team ended up in 4th place in doubles. Good stuff!
Prize winners for the AiB Winter Doubles Playoffs 2010: 1. HolyNightmare and Ally - $100
2. SS13 and Raffi-X - $50
We do have some replays from the doubles winners finals. Sadly match 1 and 4 could not be recorded, but lets take a look at what we got.

Game 5 Congratulations to all the winners! And thanks to Waft-Oli for recording, Enrish for helping out by hosting doubles, and lightlanayru, Masterkoga and Zolga for their great help in writing content.
Allright, I guess this was it for Playoffs this time. The next real ladder season will start in a few days, and the rat race for the next round of Playoffs will start. Good luck to everyone who plan on fighting their way to the top!
