Hey guys FF Ori_bro here bringing you another APEX 2013 Contest.

As many of you know, OverClock Remix, OC Remix, is a sponsor this year at APEX 2013 and will be creating the official APEX 2013 Album. This is a tremendous thing for the Smash Community. OC Remix does amazing work and knowing that they are making a specialized Album for us is crazy.

Back to the contest though, starting today the contest for the APEX Album Cover is in effect. OCRemix is looking at us, the Smash Community, to design the Album Art. You will need to design both the front cover and back cover. So remember that flow between both pages is key. The judges for this contest are Alex Strife and Crismas, when you have finished your submission send to Alex Strife in a Private Message with the title “APEX Album Art Contest” please be sure that the submission is in high quality.

This Contest ends on November 26th. I will announce the winner in a blog when Alex Strife gives me the final decision. The Winner will receive a copy of the APEX OC Remix Album. Can’t wait to see all these designs, so best of luck to all that enter.

Hello AllisBrawl, Ori_bro here to bring what is going to be Michigan’s biggest Brawl tournament and probably the most hyped Midwest regional/event of the summer.

Technical_Chase and his trusted staff members are back in action to present the 4th installment of Michigan’s must-attend tournament series: The Phoenix Saga. This installment of the Phoenix Saga is ready to provide more hype, better matches, and a tremendous tournament experience for all of those in attendance and viewing on our stream than the previous ones combined. The magic is going to be present in Ann Arbor on June 16th!

Phoenix Saga 4 is going to be the most stacked tournament Michigan and possibly the Midwest has ever seen. Confirmed players for this event are Ally, Zinoto, Sparta Kick, Shugo, MeekSpeedy, Toronto Joe, MJG, Kain, DeLux, Seagull Joe, Keitaro, Arty and DLA. If things work out for them, both Vinnie and Mr. R will be in attendance as well. Besides these big names, multiple carpools from Indiana and Ohio will be making appearances as well. Michigan plans on rolling deep with our 40-45 local players. With all these people, the estimated attendance count is around 80 players!

We have two HUGE reasons for why Phoenix Saga is truly going to be the greatest Midwest regional and tournament. This Phoenix Saga event is officially part of the ROAD TO APEX 2013 as well as a qualifier for the Canadian national, IMPULSE. In regards to the APEX 2013, those who place 13th and higher at Phoenix Saga 4 receive seeding points for APEX 2013. For IMPULSE, two people from the Midwest region that place the highest in singles at Phoenix Saga will be awarded venue fee, singles, and doubles to help them show up to IMPULSE.

Like past Phoenix Saga tournaments, we will be having a livestream with commentary. You can follow all the action at twitch.tv/xatic. Technical_Chase has hand selected the commentators to ensure quality in game knowledge and good entertainment for those viewing at home. A few of the select commentators include Keitaro, Toronto Joe, Clowsui, and MJG. Along with the quality commentary, The Phoenix Saga stream team will be doing something very special for those who are watching the at home. When the singles bracket begins, we will be doing a LIVE bracket on Challonge.com. This is going to be a great way for those at home to keep up to date on what is happening outside of the stream. The link for bracket will be found in the blog I will make the morning of the tournament so make sure you keep up with my blogs.

Phoenix Saga 4 is the tournament to be at this summer if you are a Midwest player. Remember, it’s not everyday a super-regional is in your own backyard, so i hope to see you in Ann Arbor on June 16th! Till next time, guys!

Hello, AllisBrawl! Ori_bro here with a nice little wrap-up of what can be considered the most stacked and exciting East Coast regional we have seen in a long time.

This past weekend in South River, New Jersey, ChiboSempai presented us with the sixth installment of the Clash of the Titans series. Clash of the Titans 6 was the first of the Road to APEX Qualifiers and was also a part of the Impulse Circuit. With 59 entrants for Singles, and 19 teams for Doubles this was a great event.

The Doubles event at Clash of the Titans 6 proved to be very interesting. ADHD and Mew2King proved to be the most dominant team making a great run throughout all of doubles defeating every team in their path. Two other teams that definitely shined were Nairo/Cable and NAKAT/Jband. Cable made his comeback this weekend teaming with Nairo. He definitely proved that despite some rust, he is still a formidable player. The true underdogs of the doubles tourney goes to NAKAT/Jband. After an early loss to Kingtoon/Vex, this team powered through the Loser’s Bracket beating Kai/Gunblade, Atomsk/False, Kingtoon/Vex, and Nairo/Cable. When the dust cleared, the top 4 for Doubles were as follows:
1. M2K/ADHD
2. LoF NAKAT/LoF Jbandrew
3. Nairo/Cable
4. Kingtoon/Vex

The Singles event at CoT6 was one filled with the best talent pool the East Coast could collect. CoT6 presented a bracket filled with the top players of New Jersey, such as Mew2King, Nairo, Atomsk, ADHD, Salem, and many others. These and more were pitted against Pennsylvania’s finest (KingToon, Vex, Squall and xzax), along with some of New England’s giants (Bizkit and Bloodcross), and a few of New York's bad boys (Vinnie and dabuz.) Those in attendance and those viewing the stream were definitely in for a treat when the bracket was called. As we dove deeper into bracket, the hype that emulated from the top level players was amazing. Some of the best sets of the night involved Nairo, Dabuz, Vinnie, Salem, Atomsk, NAKAT, and Mew2King. Spectators and viewers at home were left on the edge of their seats at the end of most sets featuring these players. At the end of the night, the Top 8 at this event was as follows:
1. Nairo
2. Dabuz
3. M2K
4. Vinnie
5. ADHD
5. Salem
7. Kingtoon
7. LoF: Jbandrew

To find all of these high profile matches and more, check out ChiboSempai’s blog!

That’s it for this aftermath article. Thanks for reading, and I’ll be back with more in the future.

Hello AllisBrawl, FF Ori_bro here to bring you the latest and greatest for anything tournament related here in Michigan. Like Zano, I will be making a Seasonal article that will talk about big events happening here in Michigan during that Ranking Season. Ever since APEX 2012, Michigan has been pulling some amazing events when comparing to tournaments we held over a year ago. Our locals were in the teens to low twenties, but now we are seeing 30 to 40 man locals. I want to give this flourishing state the spot light it needs. Since Michigan’s Winter Smash Season has officially ended with the most recent Power Rankings being released, our Summer Smash Season will be kick off in May. I will be updating this when more events get announced so keep checking back! This summer entails a lot for the state and we want you there!
