What is the blog game? The blog game is a fun little game that Enrish and a few others came up with. It's started off as just a small game where you had to basically go through a series of blogs and click on the correct links until you would finally reach the winning blog.
This is the same as the first game, but taken up a notch. Enrish and a bunch of other people have worked hard to make a new better and more challenging game this time round.
How to play the game? To play the game, first you will need to start
HERE. This is the starting blog to the game. This will be activated on October 24th at 4pm Eastern Time. So keep an eye out on that link. From that link there may be multi links or some other kind of puzzle to take you to the next part of the game. I can not say for certain what it will be because even I don't know this.
The blogs will give links, hints or other puzzles that you will have to work out to bring you to the next section. Some times you may even have to go onto Youtube to get to the next stage. There isn't really much more to say about how to play this. It is really quite simple but just needs you to think a bit and think outside the box to get through.
So I herd you like badges? If the answer to that is yes, you are in luck, because this blog game brings 2 new badges. One is for the first 5 people to finish this game. They will get the winners badge. The next is for the next 20 people, they will win the runner up badge. So there is a jolly good chance of you winning a badge in this game.
Things you need to know.
- You will need a youtube account.
- Posting anywhere besides where you are asked to can void your badge.
- You can post in the beginning blog.
- If we find out that you have shared information with another
person before badges are handed out both people will not be given a
badge this game or the following game.
- HAVE FUN!
What has Mr. Enrish got to say? I set up a bunch of question to ask Enrish about his blog game. This is what he has to say.
1.) How did you come up with the idea for the blog game? "Well one day I saw kirrrby make a blog where all it held was a link to
that exact blog. I've seen that before and always found it pretty
funny. I then saw The740's blog that had a hyperlink to kirrrby's blog
when it really logged you out. I then made a blog having one link go to
The740's blog and the other go to a fail picture. After that I just
thought it'd be cool to have a long chain of blogs. I never thought of
this being an official game until after it went public."
2.) Did you come across any problems or difficulties when making the game? If so how did you overcome them?
"I would say overall the first game was terrible. I hate to sound stupid
but I had no clue if you put your mouse over a hyperlink it would show
you where the link really takes you. Besides that the beginning was
really hard. I asked kirrrby, samboner and The740 to help me. I told
them how to make the blog so all they had to do was make it. Then there
was an account mix up, one person didn't understand what I was saying
and Cheese joined in at the last minute. We had the day planned but
never a time so it was easy to move time back a bit. Then I realized I
told people to leave me a shoutout with the answer, instead of sending
me a PM so I had to delete every shoutout."
3.) How has this been improved since the first one?
"The game has been improved in every way in my opinion. This game's
difficulty will tenfold the last one. It's going to be longer, meaning
more pages to explore. I've added more pictures as requested by many
people. There are official badges now so people don't complain when
they don't get anything, lol. The game goes outside of photobucket and
AiB. The game is more strict and it's way harder to cheat now. I
basically looked at the suggestions by others and put them in the best
way I could."
3a.) Have you learned anything from the last one? "Don't use hyperlinks the way I did in the first game. Everything was
too easy. I learned that I should do more than links and to get out of
AiB. I learned a lot overall, I'd just like not to reveal them."
4.) Will there be more blog games after this? "There should be. I don't want these badges to be made just for one
game. I plan on hosting one every 2 months or so. I expect every game
to get more difficult."
4a.) If so do you think it will be harder to come up with new ideas and different things to implement into the game? "I think that will be the hardest part about continuing this game. It's
the biggest thing I fear. I used so many new ideas for this upcoming
game, I don't know what else could be used, but something will come up
sooner or later."
5.) How long does it take to get it all set up? "It's hard to say because it's been spread out over two months time. It
took a good two to four weeks to find more ideas. I had a great amount
of help from people. Besides that it takes a long time. Just last week
I was trying to figure out exactly what pages to use and what order
they'd be in and that alone took me 4 hours. I then had to figure out
25 to 35 clues/links which has taken about two hours. I'd say overall
it has take me 10 hours to do everything from getting ideas, to
organizing stuff to setting it all up."
6.) How hard do you think people will find this? "I believe many people will find it very hard but others will go through
it with ease. Like I said though, the difficulty of this game tenfolds
the last game. Last game could be done in about a minute for some, I
think the fastest this game will be done in is 10 minutes. I'm not even
going to lie though, I'd really like someone to tell me they cried or
throw their keyboard because the game was possibly too hard. I just
don't think that will happen. "
I end with this I would like to finish off by saying thank you to Enrish and everyone else who helped out, I am sure this is going to be a blast. So to everyone that's taking part, good luck and I hope you enjoy all the time and hard work that has gone into this.
