Are you ready for the next entry in the L.I.R.R series? Are you ready for the next Apex 2013 Qualifier? You better be, the event is this weekend! Tournament host and national tournament threat Vinnie is hosting his second regional event this Saturday, L.I.R.R. 2!

It's been nearly one year to the day since the first L.I.R.R. That event truly was something else for Vinnie, it was his first regional event, attracted many attendees, was one of my first ever professional style Smash tournament streams, and we got to see many hype matches such as Blackanese and TeeVee taking out Mew2King and Anti from the winners bracket in doubles! The day was filled with intense competition as players from all over the Atlantic North region duked it out to "revive" the Long Island region. The area has been doing well ever since, and Vinnie's attendance has been on the rise ever since.

Vinnie has planned many special things to make L.I.R.R. 2 bigger and better. L.I.R.R. 2 is the final event of Vinnie's mini series of events, where the past four Uprise events provided points to the top placements. The top eight competitors of the circuit are granted instant entry into the pro bracket at L.I.R.R. 2, bypassing the amateur bracket that will take place. Even further, Vinnie has designed custom T-Shirts for each of the players as a commemorative keepsake for the event!

The action doesn't stop there smashers, as there is even more in store for L.I.R.R. 2! This event is the next Apex 2013 qualifier event! Prepare for Apex 2013 and earn those coveted seeding points, giving you a huge leg up on the competition. Hey, Mew2King WILL NOT be at L.I.R.R. 2, this is your chance to get those points! Any players who earn seeding points by placing top 16 at any of the qualifiers will be seeded appropriately at Apex 2013 by their points, apart from other seeded players. This will be key for making it far in the bracket of the toughest Smash competition in the world!

And finally, how do you participate in the action? GO TO THE EVENT! I'm calling out all you New York tri-state area Smashers out there! Make it out to Long Island this Saturday for L.I.R.R. 2! Going to Otakon? Screw Otakon! Going to something else? Screw that too! I jest, but seriously do what you can to make it out to this event. If by some acts of divine intervention (by our lord and savior Meta Knight) you can not make it to the event, you can bet that I've got your stream covered! Curl up in your a chair, dim the lights, and enjoy a full day of quality Smash streaming provided by myself with CLASH Tournaments, the official stream of all of Vinnie's events!

Here are links to all of the juicy information you could need for L.I.R.R. 2!

Happy Friday everyone! What do you all have planned for the weekend? It's going to be a gorgeous couple of days in the Tri-state Area, so why not spend it inside playing video games! Ok so, maybe that's not the best idea... Lets say you don't want to go sit inside and play video games all day, why don't you instead spend the day watching a live stream of others playing video games indoors! That's like... Ok, just as bad. Or you could load up the stream on your phones and tablets and watch it outside in the fresh air!

Ok, all joking aside, tomorrow is Uprise 10 in Long Island, NY. Look at that, the big number 10. This is the 10th entry in the Uprise of Long Island series, hosted by Vinnie. Uprise 10 not only marks a milestone for Uprise events through it's on-going schedule of events, but offers much more! Uprise 10 is the final event of a four tournament circuit leading up to LIRR2, coming up next month. Competitors have been working hard mashing that B button and firing lasers to earn circuit points. The top 8 players from Uprise 7 through 10 receive circuit points to be used for LIRR2. The 8 players with the most points at the end of the circuit get automatic entry into the pro bracket at LIRR2, bypassing the qualifying bracket. But wait... THERE'S MORE!

Vinnie is whipping up a surprise that not many circuits do, in fact, I can't even remember the last time it has been done! Those top 8 players don't just get entered into the pro bracket at LIRR2, but they will receive commemorative T-Shirts for the event, personalized with their tag! This is your chance to score one of these limited one of a kind keepsakes, so be sure to attend the Uprise circuit and shoot for the gold!

But you say you didn't attend the last three circuit events for LIRR2? No worries! Just defeat tough opponents like Anti, Dabuz, Vinnie, and more - and get enough of the fabled circuit points to land you in the LIRR2 pro bracket with the T-Shirt! Hey, at least Mew2King won't be there, so perhaps not all hope is lost!

Even outside of the top spots earning circuit points duking it out early for LIRR2, Vinnie still hosts a very solid event, some of the best that New York has to offer. I encourage all of you in the area to make it out to the tournament tomorrow, support your local scene, and get ready for some quality Brawl action. If you can't make it, the event will be live streamed by CLASH Tournaments, the stream for many past Uprise events and other big name events like Zenith and CoT6. Keep watch on CLASH Tournaments for all the action for Uprise 10 tomorrow, and follow the channel for updates as CLASH Tournaments will be streaming LIRR2, Dissention, SKTAR, and WHOBO4 later this summer! So do what you can to either attend the tournament or watch the stream tomorrow, then spend your whole Sunday out in the beautiful sun having fun, after immersing yourself in video games on Saturday!

Hello, AllisBrawl! Ori_bro here with a nice little wrap-up of what can be considered the most stacked and exciting East Coast regional we have seen in a long time.

This past weekend in South River, New Jersey, ChiboSempai presented us with the sixth installment of the Clash of the Titans series. Clash of the Titans 6 was the first of the Road to APEX Qualifiers and was also a part of the Impulse Circuit. With 59 entrants for Singles, and 19 teams for Doubles this was a great event.

The Doubles event at Clash of the Titans 6 proved to be very interesting. ADHD and Mew2King proved to be the most dominant team making a great run throughout all of doubles defeating every team in their path. Two other teams that definitely shined were Nairo/Cable and NAKAT/Jband. Cable made his comeback this weekend teaming with Nairo. He definitely proved that despite some rust, he is still a formidable player. The true underdogs of the doubles tourney goes to NAKAT/Jband. After an early loss to Kingtoon/Vex, this team powered through the Loser’s Bracket beating Kai/Gunblade, Atomsk/False, Kingtoon/Vex, and Nairo/Cable. When the dust cleared, the top 4 for Doubles were as follows:
1. M2K/ADHD
2. LoF NAKAT/LoF Jbandrew
3. Nairo/Cable
4. Kingtoon/Vex

The Singles event at CoT6 was one filled with the best talent pool the East Coast could collect. CoT6 presented a bracket filled with the top players of New Jersey, such as Mew2King, Nairo, Atomsk, ADHD, Salem, and many others. These and more were pitted against Pennsylvania’s finest (KingToon, Vex, Squall and xzax), along with some of New England’s giants (Bizkit and Bloodcross), and a few of New York's bad boys (Vinnie and dabuz.) Those in attendance and those viewing the stream were definitely in for a treat when the bracket was called. As we dove deeper into bracket, the hype that emulated from the top level players was amazing. Some of the best sets of the night involved Nairo, Dabuz, Vinnie, Salem, Atomsk, NAKAT, and Mew2King. Spectators and viewers at home were left on the edge of their seats at the end of most sets featuring these players. At the end of the night, the Top 8 at this event was as follows:
1. Nairo
2. Dabuz
3. M2K
4. Vinnie
5. ADHD
5. Salem
7. Kingtoon
7. LoF: Jbandrew

To find all of these high profile matches and more, check out ChiboSempai’s blog!

That’s it for this aftermath article. Thanks for reading, and I’ll be back with more in the future.

Zano here, bringing you some important information regarding CLASH of the Titans 6.  First off, this tournament is an Apex 2013 qualifier, meaning if you place high enough, you'll be able to obtain those oh-so precious seeding points for Apex 2013.  If you want more information regarding Apex qualifiers and details on seeding, you can click on this link to learn more.  Seeding is very important, especially with a tournament series as huge as Apex, so be sure to try to rack up as many points as you can so you can get higher seeding in the bracket!

Next up is some info regarding the schedule for this tournament. This tournament was scheduled to be a two-day event, but Chibo took into consideration that this summer is going to have an amazing amount of events going on, and while everyone only has so much money to spend, he made a decision to make it as affordable as he could to ensure attendance.  So, with that being said, CoT6 will now last for one day, June 2nd.  This might seem like bad news at first, but of course, there is a huge upside to this. With one less day, that means the venue fee is now cut in half! Yes, that means it is now only $10, and you no longer have to worry about getting a hotel to attend the next day. That's even MORE money saved that you would have otherwise spent! The allbrawl side event will have to be cut from the schedule due to time, but there will still be friendly set-ups for people to try it out.  Also, depending on time, crews may or may not happen. Everything depends on you, the players, and how fast and efficiently this tournament is run.

If you have the chance to attend this tournament, you really should. Chibo is an amazing host and always hosts hyped events. If you can't attend due to distance or expenses or for whatever reason, be sure to check out the high quality stream at this channel the day of the event. That should be everything you need to know, but if you have any other questions, be sure to contact Chibo and he'll clear things up. CHIIIIIIIBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you ready for an action packed summer of Brawl? The action kicks off with CLASH of the Titans 6 in June!

This summer is arguably going to be one of the best we have ever had for Brawl. These three months will be packed full with quality events from a wide assortment of top tournament organizers. The events are a must for every competitive Smasher! Some of the key events this summer include IMPULSE, SKTAR, Dissention, SRT, WHOBO 4, and the event to kick off the summer - CLASH of the Titans 6!

CoT6 is the next entry to the series that brought you the very first Brawl national, and CoT6 aims to provide the same quality experience you all expect. On the first weekend of June you will get to experience a 2 day Brawl only event, right in the center of the Atlantic North region in New Jersey. Start to make your travel arrangements, as the tournament is coming up in less than two months!

Attendees

CoT4 marked the first time many regions met under the same roof - Atl North, Atl South, Midwest, Southwest, Canada, and more. CoT5 featured some of the strongest Canada support outside of Apex 2012. CoT6 aims to match this, and go even further! Among our attendees will be all the heavy hitters from the Atl North region you've grown to love, along with a great assortment of other players. Notably absent from the last two events was any solid attendance from the West Coast, and I'm proud to say that Mike Haze and Tyrant should both be attending this event! Canada also appears to be jumping on the bandwagon as well following their support of CoT5 and coming out once again! I am currently in the works of reaching out to more areas as well.

Setups

One thing I've never enjoyed about hosting tournaments is relying on attendees to provide equipment for the tournament. It's great that we have a community so willing to help out and it cuts down on equipment costs, though I believe it's a great step forward that for CoT6 we will not require any attendees to bring any TVs. The staff of CoT6 and Apex will be providing 32 TVs ready for tournament at the event, so attendees don't need to worry about lifting heavy equipment and can use that extra car space to travel with more friends. We will still have incentives for people who bring Wiis and a copy of the game, which we will be announcing in the near future.

Events and Ruleset

CoT6 will feature your standard Singles and Doubles events like most events, and will also feature two more. All Brawl will be a side event, though the rules won't be the same you're used to at events like KTAR and Apex. The ruleset was originally thought up by players of the UFB crew and has been played throughout Philadelphia for years. It features more frequent items, stage counterpicking, and more! You can find the rules for that on the tournament thread. The fourth side event will be crews. This will be a crew tournament more similarly based off of similar tournaments ran at older Melee events. Crews may contain 4 or 5 players, and players must choose their roster of characters prior to each match.

The ruleset for Singles and Doubles has been under a lot of discussion, and I have made sure to talk to the community and do what I believe is best for everyone. If you have been following my recent blogs, you'll know that a decision has been reached. Unlike when it was first announced, Meta Knight will be legal at CoT6, and we will be using the Apex stagelist. On the contrary to Meta Knight being legal, double MK will be banned in teams.

Enhancements Over CoT5

CoT5 didn't go over as well as hoped, but still showed to be a solid tournament. The unfortunate change in venue at the last moment hurt the event, though I was sure to fix that for this event. The venue for CoT6 is larger than the 5th one, and is already 100% confirmed and set in stone. The venue will not change, and it is in a better location for players. If you are familiar with traveling to Apex, you'll have no problem getting here as it is just a shot drive away. CoT6 aims to run faster than CoT5, use a more organized layout, and feature more events.

Livestream and Media

You can certainly expect CoT6 to feature a top notch livestream, hosted by yours truly of CLASH Tournaments. I will be working for weeks on pristine production quality leading up to the event, and testing the stream both on my own and at the venue itself. All of this guarantees that the livestream experience will be great, and all tournament videos will be uploaded quickly after the tournament in HD quality.

Registration

Working with a 2 day event for one game gives us a lot more time to do certain things we want, and one of those things is that registration will ONLY be in done in-person. Don't know if you're coming to the event until the night before? No problem there, and you'll be paying the same price as everyone else without a price increase.

More Announcements?

In these final two months leading up to the event, you can definitely expect more announcements to come. The staff for the event are working on some great promotions and bonuses for the players that haven't been done at any event before! Be sure to keep a close eye on the tournament pages, and the CLASH Tournaments website and Twitter.

Be sure to click that you are attending on All is Brawl. Links to the tournament page and everything else related to the event are located below. Start practicing for the event, make your travel arrangements, and I hope to see you there on June 2nd!

Oh man, not another boring weekend :/

But wait, it's not a boring weekend! You have two great options.

1. Travel to Long Island tomorrow for Uprise of Long Island #7! This Brawl tournament hosted by Vinnie is going to be one of the best tournaments Long Island has seen yet. Wait... You mean you haven't heard about it? Well, now you have! Quick, go pack up your car and start driving. Maybe there's a last minute flight deal on Orbitz for you West Coasters.

2. So you can't make option number 1? Well that sucks, you should try to though. But I suppose if you can't make it, you will at least watch it. Right? Of course you will. Uprise of Long Island #7 will be streamed by yours truly, provided by CLASH Tournaments. Stream will be starting between 12p and 1p EST, so start microwaving that popcorn at the crack of noon, and pull up your favorite chair in front of your computer and get ready to stream monster the day away. Where can you watch the stream you ask? Well you can find it on my Twitch TV account at http://twitch.tv/chibosempai, or for simplicity sake (and to make it easier to spread the word of the stream!) you can go to http://clashstream.com. It's that easy!

So why should you attend this tournament? Well, it's going to be stacked, sorry about that! But there's more than your average stacked Atl North singles bracket to enter (but still enter to see how far you get and get sweet sweet bragging rights for AiB Blogs on Sunday!), there's going to be both Doubles and Mid Tier Singles! Doubles is fun! Grab your favorite Meta Knight main of a friend and make your FGC friends jealous as you have simultaneous four player chaotic action going on! And if you happen to not main the best of the best (poor ROB :/) then you better enter Mid Tier Singles where you have a chance to win that sweet sweet money, just like Mew2King would had Meta Knight been allowed in Mid Tiers!

But again, if you can't make it, that's ok! Watching a tournament stream is free! You won't have to subscribe to CLASH Tournaments for $8.95 to watch the stream. All those top players? You won't have to worry about them! Instead of getting paired up with them round one you can watch them in fear from the comfort of your bedroom. Watch the effects of the Japanese Ruleset on the American community, see Mid Tiers rise to fame, and watch interesting and unique Meta Knight ridden doubles matches!

But what about Sunday... What to do on Sunday? Well, you can watch all of the replays from Uprise of Long Island #7 on the CLASH Tournaments YouTube channel! If you attended the tournament, you can watch over your matches and learn from mistakes and scope out other potential tourney threats you might have slipped away from. If you didn't attend? Catch up on any matches you missed or re-watch some of the most exciting matches from the night, like when Teevee and Blackanese inevitably beat Mew2King in teams again or Anti beats Vinnie with Pikachu! Subscribe to the YouTube channel to know right away when the matches go online!

So let's recap:

-Go To Uprise of Long Island #7

Do you want be a part of the best grassroots Brawl tournament of the year? Do you live on the East Coast? If not, are you willing to come here? Do you like having fun?

mikeHAZE: After writing up the last Tournament Analysis article, I quickly realized that I couldn't do this alone, so I had to bring someone with me!  Please welcome our East Coast Representative, AlliieD.

AlliieeD: Hey, what's up all?  This is Allied from New York and  I'll be reporting to you about the hottest tournaments this side of the US.

We're a little late this week, please forgive us; we'll be back to a normal schedule on the next article.

This past weekend, East Coast Brawl attended Super DSO 2, a tournament being run by ChiboSempai who is a well known host as well as a great player in the Smash community.

The tournament ran Singles and Doubles for both Brawl and Brawl+.

Brawl Singles:

1: Atomsk
2: Squall
3: Ninjalink
4: Inui
5: Malcolm
5: ChiboSempai
7: MintyFlesh
7: Izumi

Brawl Singles had some pretty interesting results.  Atomsk placed first, which is nothing out of the ordinary, but the battle to first place is something to be talked about.

As you see, Squall got second place.  If you're unfamiliar with Squall then let me enlighten you.

Squall is considered PA's best player (I don't know if it's official yet).  Last weekend was disappointing for him: he placed 17th at Asylum, losing to Deltacod, who is New Jersey's best Yoshi. Squall was kinda depressed at DSO, questioning even entering the tournament, but with some support from Vex Kesrani and I he decided to enter.

Squall had an INSANELY tough bracket.  He showed us that he's a force to reckoned with. In winners bracket, he took out players like Nasty, Will - who is considered the best Donkey Kong, Ninjalink, Inui, and then finally in Winners' Finals he took out Atomsk.

Stacked bracket if you ask me.

In the losers' bracket, Atomsk took out Ninjalink for second place.  Ninjalink, who got 3rd, had an impressing killing spree in losers' bracket after being knocked out by Squall early on in the tournament.  In losers' he defeated Xzax, Mintyflesh, Inui, and Malcolm before losing to Atomsk.

Ninjalink definitely showed off his amazing Diddy Kong once again in the tournament, as well as his surprise guest: Pikachu.

Surprising results, and a very fun tournament. As far as tournament hosting, let's give shout outs to Chibo! He did a very good job. And special shout outs to Alex Strife for making a guest hosting appearance.

mikeHAZE: Yo guys, this is mikeHAZE and I'll be bringing you the scoop on what happened on West Coast's regional tournament this past weekend - TourneyPlay #5.

This was the fifth tournament being run by GCguy (Chris), owner of Gameclucks - a gamestore residing in Washington.  GCguy has been known for hosting some well run, well hyped tournaments, so it was good to see him out in Southern California running a regional outside of his comfort zone.

The two day tournament saw a plethora of different games: Brawl, Melee, Halo 3, Super Street Fighter 4, Call of Duty: MW2, and TVC.

Brawl had 79 entrants for singles, which included players from all over the West Coast, as well as a special Midwest guest - Mew2King.

Singles Results:

1: Mew2King
2: Tyrant
3: mikeHAZE
4: DSF
5: Darklink
5: DEHF
7: Rich Brown
7: Warpstatus

The first question you may ask yourself: Who is Darklink?  Well first, he doesn't main Link.  Darklink is a Meta Knight player, who is also considered the best player in Arizona.  In the winners' bracket, he defeated Tyrant, Erow, and was then sent to losers' bracket by mikeHAZE in Winners' Semifinals.

Warpstatus and Rich Brown did really well as you can see.  They actually played each other first match of Pro Bracket, with Rich Brown taking the win in a close 2-1 set.  Rich also took out Zex before being sent to losers bracket by Mew2King.

Warpstatus had a good run considering his loss vs. Rich in the first bracket match.  In losers bracket he took out Brent, Tearbear, FOW, and CPU before losing an intense, last match set vs. DEHF.

DEHF took a early loss in the winners' bracket after losing to mikeHAZE 2-1, and was later taken out by DSF when they met in losers'.

In winners' finals, mikeHAZE played Mew2King.  Unfortunately (yes, I'm biased) Mike lost to Mew2King 3-1.

In the losers' bracket Mike faced Tyrant, who made quite a comeback in losers' bracket despite his early defeat.  After his loss vs. Darklink, he defeated: Typh, Oki, Fiction, Rich Brown, Darklink, DSF (who forfeited), then finally faced and defeated mikeHAZE in Losers' Finals 3-1.  Tyrant met Mew2King in grand finals where he lost 3-0.

Mew2King dominates once again.  With MLG coming up pretty soon everyone is wondering if he will be able to stay static with his wins.
