Is there a way I could legally drive my car at such speeds without spending a fortune? I own my car for its combination of comfort, safety, and performance and not just speed...but driving fast as hell sounds fun.

Can your car go at speeds of 160+ mph without having any issues? Most cars, even sports cars designed for speed, can't actually maintain those speeds long, while the police interceptor versions of cars have heavy duty suspensions and stuff like that which allow the car to cruise at high speeds without falling apart, overheating, etc.
