I am the President and Chief Operating Officer for the North American division of Japan-based video game company Nintendo and we at Nintendo are pushing innovation, breaking down the boundaries of computer gaming. I think that this industry has become more and more focused on the niche, and at Nintendo, we've opened our systems to a wide range of consumers. We took the path of doing things differently, focusing on games and hardware that consumers could immediately pick up and play. We have focused from a Nintendo perspective on bringing gaming back to the masses. We want core gamers as well as brand new gamers — women, older consumers, people who never saw themselves as gamers.
