DI bair if you do get hit offstage, I think you know this as an Ike player, but you don't want to be CG-> gimped. If you're really high (usually because the DDD was dumb and instead of just grab releasing you over the edge where you're more vulnerable, they just dthrow -> ftilt), you can mix in some dair stalling, B-reversal AS charging, fair, or AD. Get creative, never be predictable when he can punish you.

If you do take to the ground, do it briefly, and with safer moves like jab and grab. If you think he's going to spotdodge after your jab -> other mixups, just mix it up between plain AAA (gets him up to the air where you can do some damage anyways, and it rapes spotdodges), and A/AA -> grab. In the DDD MU, you gotta camp. initially it seems that waddle toss > AS, but literally if you approach camping with either shielding waddle -> continue charging, OR BAS spam, either one doesn't let DDD force you to approach.

Take to the air as much as possible. You have really decent aerial attack mobility, one that if utilized DDD can't shut down as effectively. Be really fast, imo work in SH and full hop aerials (this is something most chars can't do because full hop leaves a lot of telegraphing/commitment, plus most chars have a bad "underside" weakness, both of which Lucario has a better time dealing with than the rest of the cast).
Edgeguard him religiously, if he's facing towards you, his only real option for warding you off is swallow or FF uair, both are really telegraphed if you know what to look for.
