The players editor shows a global list of players registered across all games and events. You can edit player details from this window, which is accessed via the "Players" tab at the top of the main program window.
Players are seprated into two groups, depending on if they are single players or a team of players. Use the two buttons at the top to switch between players and teams. The Add and Edit areas (see below) will change if you are editing teams; namely, they will have areas for specifying the nicknames of the two players on a team.
Use the panel at the right to add new players to the global list. Adding a player here does not register them for any games; it simply makes them available in the game editor's pre-registered player list.
Only the Nickname field is necessary to add a player. The Location and Skill fields are used in automatic seeding, while the Name field can be used to differentiate players with similar nicknames. If you are adding a Team, the Name text area will be replaced with two text areas for the names of the players on the team. These are also optional.
Tip: you can press the Enter key while any of the New Player
inputs have focus to automatically trigger the "Add Player" button.
Tip: the Skill field can be set to a value between 1 and 10,
where a higher number represents a better player. In automatic seeding by skill
(see seeding), higher-skilled players will be given
higher seeds than lower-skilled players.
Click on a player in the global list to edit their details. An input area will appear below the "Add New Player" area where you can change the selected player's information.
Select a player in the list and press the Delete key to remove that player.
Warning: deleting a player remove that player from any bracket they are entered into.
