Description

WIRED GAMING PRESENTS: UNLEASHED IN THE EAST

Alas, the time is finally come for the meteoric and glorious uprising of the forsaken badlands of the Pacific Northwest! For too long have the Clan of the Potato and Clan of the Valley been sundered, relegating us to dwell only within our homes and stagnate...

WELL NO LONGER!

IT IS TIME WE CONGREGATE AND CONQUER. It's finally our chance to bring our scene to life! The owner's pumped to have you guys, and I think it's just gonna be a kick-*** event and beginning in the book of eastern PacNW.

WHEN

The tourney will be held on April 22nd, starting at 9:00AM and ending at 10:00PM. April 22nd is a Sunday, just an FYI.

WHERE

UitE will be held at Wired Gaming, 1402 4th street, in La Grande, OR. La Grande is a very small town, so I doubt you'll need directions to find the place. 4th street is directly off of Adams Avenue which is the main drag in La Grande, and the venue is a large brown house on the right side of 4th (coming from Adams Ave) with the venue's name (Wired) in blindingly refulgent white lettering.

HOW MUCH $$$

Entry will be 7$ and venue will be 8$. (Venue is amazing; totally worth it)

Payouts for singles will be:

1st - 60%
2nd - 25%
3rd - 10%
4th - 5%

Payouts for doubles:

1st - 70%
2nd - 20%
3rd - 10%

SCHEDULE

Since we're going to be running Melee AND Brawl, we're gonna need a relatively strict adherence to the schedule. This current one, as all schedules are, is tentative, but once it is concretized, we'll need to keep on time. We're going to be running Melee singles and Brawl singles at the same time, but doubles for both games will be separate unless we can achieve the superb turnout of 8+ TVs.

9:00AM - Doors open
10:00AM - Melee Doubles sign-ups
11:00AM - Melee Doubles starts
1:00PM - Melee Doubles ends and Brawl Doubles sign-ups start
2:00PM - Brawl Doubles begins
4:00PM - Brawl Doubles ends and Melee/Brawl Singles sign-ups start
5:00PM - Melee/Brawl Singles start
If singles ends around 8:00PM - Third event
10:00PM - Venue closes

For the third event, I'm thinking maybe an N64 tournament or something. Gimme some ideas!

RULES

http://allisbrawl.com/forum/topic.aspx?id=194378

We will be running on the Japanese Ruleset with a small handful of amendments:

1. Instead of a suicide resulting in a one stock, 3-minute rematch, the initiator of a suicide move will be awarded the win.

2. All infinites and CGs are legal <except> D3's small-step CG and standing infinites.

SETUPS

We will be in DIRE need of set-ups. That includes GCs, Melee & Brawl discs, Wiis, TVs and power strips. PLEASE, if you can bring a set-up, let me know so I can have the schedule more concrete! If you have a spare anything, please bring it!

You have to have at least 4 entrants to create a bracket in TIO. Ben probably entered a dummy entrant to bring the required number up to the minimum.

Shoutouts to there being two Ganon's in top 4 and only one MK.
Vermanubis wrote at 3:28 AM on Apr 23, 2012 :
Thanks, Jake. <3 Glad you had a good time, buddy.

@Chris: I accidentally x'd out of tio when I was leaving the venue, so I had to recreate the entire thing LOL. I couldn't figure out how to generate a bracket for doubles though. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't let me generate a bracket with just three teams. I dunno how Ben did it lol.

And of course. Next time will be fantastic. If I suspect anything less, I'll hold it off until I know it will be.

Didn't upload doubles? Too bad we only had 3 teams. Next time let's make it bigger.
Shiny wrote at 2:00 AM on Apr 23, 2012 :
Great job Verm, it was awesome, and you are the Ganliest Ganon there is.
