- Tourney format, pools, etc. -TAKE YOUR BATTERIES OUT OF YOUR WIIMOTE IF YOU ARE NOT USING IT AT THAT VERY MOMENT. IF YOU **** THINGS UP FOR SOMEONE, YOU WILL EITHER FORFEIT A MATCH OR BE KICKED OUTSIDE OF THE VENUE.
You are responsible for showing up to your pool/match on time. Pools will be run in several sets. For example if we have 64 pools for each game for singles, there will most likely be four sets of pools, 16 at a time. You will know which pool you are in at the beginning when pools are called. Consider whichever sets of pools you are NOT in as your lunch break. You are free to leave and do whatever (get food, chill at the hotel, etc.). A set of pools may take as short as an hour or as long as two, so plan accordingly. If you come back late, WE ARE NOT WAITING UP FOR YOU. Pool captains will be given instructions to DISQUALIFY ANYONE WHO DOES NOT CHECK IN WITH THEIR POOL CAPTAIN WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF THEIR POOL BEING CALLED. During the couse of the pool, YOU ARE NOT TO LEAVE THE AREA. IF YOU HOLD UP THE POOL IN ANY MANNER, YOU WILL FORFEIT ONE OR MORE MATCHES.
In a pool, you will play every other person in that pool. When the match is over, report the result to your pool captain immediately.
We'll probably do 32-64 pools advancing to a 128-man bracket for singles (cut numbers in half for doubles). The exact number of pools, players/pool, and number advancing from each pool will be decided by time constraints.
During the bracket we are going to be calling people to be ON DECK at a station. When we call you to be on deck, please report to that station IMMEDIATELY; DO NOT LEAVE. We need you to play your match as soon as the one before you is done.
[b]REPORT YOUR MATCHES IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE MATCH. I CANNO
